Re constituting a Linksys NAS200 JBOD (2x500G HDD)
I have an older Linksys NAS200 (Now Cisco) unit and the NAS unit does not see the two drives as a pair making up 1T. The NAS200 seems to be working okay, but just doesn't see the JBOD as a whole....

the problem with these cheap NAS devices is they all do stuff a little differently. With a lot of these drives you can probably use dd to image both drives then use 'cat' to combine the two images,...

Steve, Thanks for the reply. So I need to dd both drives separately then cat them together? This creating an image placed on a 1T HDD? I'm afraid I'm a little rusty on Linux... Thanks Bob

thats a possibility, different drives work different ways. Many of the cheap JBOD drives work that way.
